Bryan Critser stands as the operational backbone of Pools of Fun, bringing 13 years of dedicated leadership and an unparalleled depth of expertise that spans every facet of the company’s award-winning operations. As Vice President of Operations, Bryan oversees the comprehensive systems that have earned Pools of Fun recognition as one of the nation’s Top 50 Swimming Pool Builders for decades—a distinction that reflects his commitment to operational excellence and relationship-driven business practices.
A Lafayette, Indiana native who has called Indiana home for most of his life, Bryan’s professional foundation is built on both formal education and hands-on mastery. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue University and maintains current certifications through Equipment Manufacturer Training programs. This combination of academic leadership principles and technical expertise enables him to guide operations across pool design and sales, installation and construction, service and maintenance, retail and chemicals, equipment repair, landscaping, customer service, project management, and HR administration.
Bryan’s philosophy reflects the heart of Pools of Fun’s mission: “The best swimming pool is the one you create memories in.” This perspective drives his approach to operations, ensuring that every pool type—whether vinyl liner, fiberglass, or BioDesign—delivers not just superior construction, but lasting family experiences. He understands that each pool design has unique advantages, and his comprehensive operational knowledge ensures clients receive the perfect solution for their backyard dreams.
“Pools of Fun’s decades-long ranking as a Top 50 Swimming Pool Builder is only possible because of the relationships we have with our people and clients,” Bryan explains. “There truly is a difference when you build a pool with Pools of Fun.” This relationship-first approach, combined with his operational leadership, continues the company’s 44-year legacy of excellence.
When he’s not orchestrating complex pool projects from the Plainfield headquarters, Bryan enjoys friendly competition with his team—including his memorable victory over Melissa in the company’s Holiday fudge contest, a testament to his approachable leadership style and commitment to fostering a collaborative company culture.
